雅思小作文，主要是图表作文。

题干通常要求我们对题目中所给的图表进行信息提取，包括主要信息的概括、以及信息间的相关比较。在小作文的数据比较多的时候,考生不可将所有数据一一进行分析, 否则给考官的感觉就是整篇作文都是数据。

小作文得高分, 考鸭门在处理数据的时候就需要抓主要矛盾, 即抓住比较明显的、有代表性的数据，因此数据表达的重要句型尤为重要。

雅思小作文重点句型：

　　1. There is not a great deal ofdifference between...and...

　　 ...与...的区别不大。

　　2. The graphs show a threefoldincrease in the number of...

　　 该图表表明...的数目增长了三倍。

　　3. ..decreased year by yearwhile...increased steadily.

　　 ...逐年减少，而...逐步上升。

　　4. ... reached a peak(a high pointat) of ...%.

　　 ...到达顶(高)点，为...百分点。

　　5. the figures/situation bottomedout in...

　　 数字(情况)在...达到底部。

　　6. the figures reached the bottom/alow point /hit a trough.
